If we want something, we have to put in the work.
There are no free rides! Take it from Lincoln Hawk in my favorite 80s movie, Over The Top, who reminds us, “The World Meets Nobody Halfway.” Think about what that means as you’re contemplating getting through something hard. When it comes to cancer, we don’t have a choice. We have to do the hard thing. And we have to muster the strength within ourselves. Unfortunately, nobody can carry this burden with us or for us. They can provide support, but they can’t do the work.
It’s heavy work, so lean on the advice of those of us who’ve been in your shoes. We know how you feel, and we’ll help you find the strength to get through this hard thing.
